Production Control

As a responsible manufacturer we have established a process to document and maintain a system to ensure that the Shear Connector Studs placed on the market conform to declared material and performance characteristics. We follow written procedures, routine inspections and tests and/or assessments to control control raw and other incoming materials or components, equipment, the production process and the product.

The results of all our inspections, observations and tests are recorded, with specification of any action that was taken. In case the control values of the WIP or end product do not meet, specific actions to be taken are listed in the procedures.

The responsibility, authority and relationship between personnel managing the controls that affect product conformity are clearly defined. This applies in particular to personnel that needs to initiate actions preventing product non-conformities from occurring, actions in case of non-conformities and to identify and register product conformity problems.

Product Control’s Equipment

Artech has most of the measuring and testing equipment required for testing of Shear Connectors in-house. These equipment are calibrated or verified and regularly inspected according to documented procedures, frequencies, and criteria.

The manufacturing equipment are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure that use, wear or failure does not cause inconsistency in the product quality.

Raw material inspection

The checks for specification of all incoming raw materials are documented, and strict conformity is ensured for every lot.

Product testing and evaluation

The procedures to ensure that the production tolerances allow for the product performances to be in conformity with the declared values derived from initial type testing.

• Dimensions
• Chemical composition, for weldable materials

Batchwise records of the results of the tests specified above are made available to customers on request.
